Encompass is an independent, non-profit organization providing education and pediatric therapy programs in the Snoqualmie Valley, Issaquah, Sammamish and Greater Eastside. Our expert staff is committed to applying best practices and innovative strategies within our programs.
Parents are each child’s first and most important teachers and role models—this is the Encompass philosophy. Families we serve are given the tools to help their children reach their full potential and are based on prominent research in the fields of child development, family management and abuse prevention. Designed to provide a network of support and education, Encompass programs strengthen each parent’s efforts to provide a stable nurturing home environment—and then we provide support as they prepare their children to succeed in school and in life. All services are available regardless of a family’s ability to pay.
More than a nationally-accredited preschool—the Encompass education program begins with toddler playgroups (ages 12-36 months) then progresses to preschool for 3-, 4- and 5-year olds. School-aged children, tweens and teens are served by a variety of programs we offer throughout the year including PCIT, CPR classes, social skills classes, reading tutoring, camp assistant training and much more. Parent education and support helps families thrive through 1-1 coaching, workshops, etc. And for education and childcare professionals, Encompass provides courses to achieve and maintain certification. The first years in a child’s life are a time of rapid brain development that will never be matched again. Parents can help their children take full advantage of this rich growth period by prioritizing developmental screenings and early intervention therapies to make major leaps forward in everything from language and speech development to interpersonal interaction. Children whose delays are caught during this time see much better long-term progress results than those who are treated later.
The Encompass Birth-to-Three Early Intervention Program supports optimal growth and development of infants and toddlers with developmental delays through comprehensive services that focus on in-home therapy and assessment, family support and individualized programs for each child. We have been serving families in the area for over 50 years. Our team consists of speech, feeding, occupational and physical therapists, early childhood specialists and family resource coordinators who work in partnership with each family to help them thrive!
Our Pediatric Therapy services provide services on a fee-for-service basis for children from 1 to age 12 who have documented developmental delays and do not fit the age or disclosure requirements associated with our Birth-to-Three Early Intervention program. Our new clinic is located in downtown North Bend, just 15 minutes from Issaquah. Families now have access to professional services including speech and language therapy, occupational therapy, physical and feeding therapy, social skills groups, Wired for Reading (tutoring for struggling readers) and mental health counseling. We accept all insurance plans and provide a discount for cash clients.
Therapy services are delivered in a positive, fun and nurturing clinic environment in which family members are encouraged to participate in their children’s treatment program.
